Improving Understanding
OWU awards grants to 16 students, faculty, and staff in 2024-2025 for projects intended to make the campus an anti-racist space.
A Championship Ending
Men’s track & field athletes Trey Theobald ’25 and Connor Smith ’27 will compete in the javelin and high jump, respectively, May 22-23 at the NCAA Division III championship meet.
Hurdling to the Finish
Women’s track & field athlete Katherine Dortmund ’28 will compete in the 100-meter hurdles May 23-24 at the NCAA Division III championship meet in Geneva, Ohio.
NCAC All-Sports Race
OWU finishes fourth in the North Coast Athletic Conference All-Sports title race. Spring highlights include winning the men’s lacrosse championship and finishing third in both women’s track & field and women’s lacrosse.
Softball Score
OWU softball shortstop Caity Journey ’28 is named NCAC Newcomer of the Year and a first-team All-NCAC choice. Teammates Chameron Vanden Eynden ’27, Sylvie Devore ’28, and Alyssa Back ’25 also earn all-league honors.
Women’s Lacrosse
OWU women’s lacrosse defender Abbie Grogan ’26 is named NCAC Defensive Player of the Year and a first-team All-NCAC choice. Teammates Brie Colangelo ’27, Caroline Fleming ’25, Sam Frary ’26, and Sammy Johnson ’25 also earn All-NCAC recognition.
Men’s Lacrosse
Men’s lacrosse defenseman Wes Silver ’25 (left) is named NCAC Defensive Player of the Year, and attacker Henry Ross ’27 is named Offensive Player of the Year. Both are first-team All-NCAC choices, with 10 teammates also earning All-NCAC honors.
Reunion Weekend!
