Super Smashing the Competition

OWU is part of a group of independent colleges offering new transfer pathways to help community college students earn their bachelor’s degrees in biology, English, or psychology.
Pentathlon Powerhouse
Hazel Jolliff ’26 wins All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors in the women’s track & field pentathlon to lead OWU at the Feb. 19 NCAC multi-event competition. She places third overall with 2,377 points, competing in the 60-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump, and 800-meter run.
School Records Fall
The Ohio Wesleyan women’s basketball team sets two Battling Bishop records Feb. 19 and clinches third place in the NCAC standings. Elizabeth Homan ’24 scores a career-high 13 assists, pushing her season total to 146 and breaking the team’s season record of 138.
All-Ohio Champion
Khloe Dubenion ’23 wins an All-Ohio title in the weight throw, leading the Bishops at the Feb. 11 All-Ohio Division III Track & Field Championships. Her winning throw is 54'2".
Top Scholar-Athlete
Cornerback Ian Riddle ’23 earns a post-graduate scholarship as the area’s top scholar-athlete, honored by the Columbus chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.
Locating Lizards
Columbus City Schools produces a video, “Wall Lizards and Where to Find Them,” about the invasive species moving into central Ohio. The video includes interviews with Ohio Wesleyan Zoology professor Eric Gangloff and OWU students who also continue to research the lizards and how they adapt in changing climates.
