Brianna DeMuth ’23 is assisting Jim Franklin, professor of Politics and Government, with his ongoing research into protest waves occurring around the world.
First Generation Investors
Reese Little ’22 is the first recipient of OWU’s new Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Grant. His project teaches stock market investing to underserved youth.
Affirming Its Values
Ohio Wesleyan awards its first round of faculty-staff DEI Grants for projects involving racialized health messages and the “interplay between food, race, immigration, and community.”
2020-2021 Moot Court
Alexis Henson ’21 is named a Top 10 orator in Cleveland regional Moot Court competition this season. Overall, 11 Bishops competed in regional contests.
‘Twelfth Night, 2020’
OWU’s version of Shakespeare’s classic kicks off April 23. It is written and produced by Bradford Sadler ’05, instructor of Theatre & Dance.
‘Unprecedented’
The uniqueness of their artwork and the extraordinary conditions under which it was created has inspired “Unprecedented,” this year’s exhibition by OWU’s graduating fine arts majors.
Choose Ohio First
Ohio Wesleyan receives a five-year, $830,466 Choose Ohio First grant to fund scholarships for incoming Ohio students pursuing degrees in the STEM fields.

Imogene Gregory Johnson ’80 is named OWU’s director of human resources. She has more than 20 years of experience in HR management.
Undefeated Season
The Ohio Wesleyan volleyball team completes its spring season without a loss, finishing 7-0. The successful season also includes breaking a 36-match losing streak to the Wittenberg Tigers.
Nationally Ranked
OWU women’s track & field teammates Peyton Howell ’23 (left) and Chase Patton ’22 were nationally ranked for the indoor season. Howell was first in the high jump (5-8½), and Patton was second in the pole vault (12-1½).
